1. Information We Collect
QuickCal AI collects information from you when you register and use the app:
- Personal Data: Name and email address.
- Health Metrics: Age, gender, height, and weight to calculate nutritional needs.
- Scan Data: Images you upload for food analysis.
1.1 App Permissions
To provide our core features, QuickCal AI requests the following device permissions:
- Camera: Required to take photos of your food for AI nutritional analysis.
- Storage/Photos: Required to upload existing food images from your device gallery.
- Network Access: Required to connect to our servers and AI services.
You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings, but doing so may limit app functionality.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is primarily used to provide you with nutritional estimates and track your progress.
- AI Analysis: We use the Gemini AI API (by Google) to identify food items in your images.
- Nutrition Calculation: Automated calculations based on your physical metrics.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with key infrastructure providers:
- Supabase: Our database and authentication provider.
- Gemini AI: For food recognition (images only).
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to safeguard your information stored in our database.
5. Account and Data Deletion
You have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated personal data. You can do this through two methods:
- In-App: Navigate to Settings > Account > Delete Account to permanently delete your data.
- Via Email: If you cannot access the app, you can request data deletion by emailing us at support@vriksha.ai with the subject "Data Deletion Request".
6. Data Retention Policy
We retain your personal data and food logs only for as long as your account is active. When you initiate an account deletion request, all your personal information, health metrics, and uploaded images are permanently deleted from our active databases within 30 days. Some anonymized data may be retained for analytical purposes, but it cannot be linked back to you.
